Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our audit and accounting team. This position primarily focuses on audit and assurance services but may also include some tax preparation based on client and firm needs.

Responsibilities

Accounting and Audit Services:

  • Gain an understanding of firm audit policies and procedures related to assigned tasks
  • Understand clients’ needs and expectations, fostering strong client relationships
  • Assist in planning and executing multiple audit assignments across various industries
  • Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures
  • Maintain the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct

Tax Services:

  • Prepare diverse tax returns for commercial and non-profit industries
  • Assist in tax planning and research as needed for clients
  • Collaborate closely with managers, partners, and clients to deliver quality tax services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in accounting required
  • CPA eligible or on track to become eligible
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and research skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, both internally and externally
  • Strong multitasking, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel to assigned client locations; access to reliable transportation is essential
  • Ability to travel overnight, as required by client needs (less than 10% of the time)
